By accessing and using Amigo.study ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you disagree with any part of these terms, you may not access the Service.

2. Eligibility

The Service is intended for users aged 13 and above. Users under 18 must have parental or guardian permission to use Amigo.study.

3. Account Registration

To use our Service, you must:

• Provide accurate and complete registration information
• Keep your password secure and confidential
• Notify us immediately of any unauthorized access
• Maintain a single account (multiple accounts may be terminated)

4. Subscription Plans and Pricing

Free Plan

Includes:

• Unlimited classes
• Limited AI generations
• Limited file uploads
• Limited lecture recordings

Pro Plan

Priced at $20/month (monthly billing) or $12/month (annual billing at $144/year). Includes:

• Unlimited classes
• Unlimited AI generations (subject to abuse guardrails)
• Unlimited file uploads
• Unlimited lecture recordings
• 10 podcast generations per week
• Priority support

Student Discount

Students with a valid .edu email address receive a 2-week free trial of the Pro Plan.

5. Payment Terms

All payments are processed securely through Stripe. By subscribing to a paid plan, you authorize Amigo to charge your payment method on a recurring basis until you cancel.

Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled before the next billing date. You can cancel anytime through your account settings.

6. Intellectual Property

All content, features, and functionality of Amigo.study are protected by copyright and intellectual property laws.

You retain ownership of materials you upload (notes, lectures, files). By uploading content, you grant us a license to process and analyze it to provide our AI study tools.

Prohibited actions:

• Copying, distributing, or reproducing Service content for commercial purposes
• Using automated tools to scrape or extract data
• Reverse engineering our AI systems or algorithms
• Using Amigo-generated content to train other AI models

7. AI-Generated Content

Amigo uses AI to generate study materials (flashcards, quizzes, summaries, etc.). By using our Service, you acknowledge that:

• AI-generated content may not always be 100% accurate
• You should verify important information independently
• Amigo is not liable for errors in AI-generated content
• You will not use AI-generated content for academic dishonesty

8. Acceptable Use Policy

You agree not to:

• Use Amigo for any illegal purpose
• Share your account with others
• Upload copyrighted material you don't have rights to
• Attempt to breach platform security
• Harass or abuse other users or our team
• Use Amigo to compete with us or build similar products

9. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, engage in abusive behavior, or fail to pay subscription fees. Upon termination, your access to the Service and your data will be removed in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

10. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that:

• The Service will always be available or error-free
• AI-generated content will be completely accurate
• The Service will meet all your study needs
• Your academic performance will improve

11. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Amigo shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service, including but not limited to lost data, poor academic performance, or service interruptions.

12. Changes to Terms

We may modify these Terms at any time. We'll notify you of material changes by updating the "Last Updated" date. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
